BAYAN USA and Malaya Movement USA are working together with the Philippines-Palestine Friendship Association (PPFA) to support Filipino-Palestinian refugees from Gaza who have been displaced and forcibly expatriated due to the Israeli occupation’s genocidal attacks there.

Most of the Filipinos in Gaza are permanent residents, two-thirds of whom are Palestinian Filipinos who were born or raised there. Many were unwilling to leave their Palestinian spouses and other families who would be unable to join them.

PPFA is currently supporting more than 10 families, or some 63 individuals, including children. They are without assurance of support from the Philippine government, and their status as refugees in the Philippines remains in limbo due to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The families are currently housed at the University of the Philippines Diliman until December 21, after which the need for more permanent housing must be addressed.

Your donations will help defray costs related to their housing and shelter needs, legal fees, processing of legal documents, psycho-social support, and advocating for the Philippine government to assume comprehensive support for them as refugees.

Ongoing support will be needed as even more Filipino-Palestinians and their families are expected to arrive in the Philippines.
